PhD in Law from the University of Granada (Spain), Lecturer in Legal Philosophy. Permanent researcher at the Research Group “Criminal Law, Democracy and Human Rights”, University of Jaén (Spain), LLMeur in European and International Law (University of Bremen, Germany). Dr. Jara has been visiting professor at the University of Prishtina -Hasan Prishtina- (Kosova) and professor at the National Judicial Institute of the Dominican Republic (Escuela Nacional de la Judicatura). Expert in the European Commission's Joint Research Centre Project "The science of values and identities in the political Process". Currently a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal Saber y Justicia. She has been teaching diverse subjects at Master’s programmes, among which: Human Rights in Conflict Settings; Legal Reasoning in International Courts and Islam in Europe. Ethnosymbolism and Ethnoclericalism. For several years, she held the positions of Human Dimension Officer of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Kosovo and Human Rights Officer in the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
