Abstract

Co-teaching or collaborative teaching is a pedagogical approach in which two or more teachers share responsibility for planning, teaching and assessing a group of students. When contextualised in an international setting, the teachers involved must be from different countries. One of the line of action of the European project International Cooperation Framework for Next Generation Engineering Students (NextGEng) focuses on co-teaching. The NextGEng project is a consortium of six partners from European universities and companies, granted by Erasmus+ funds, within the key action partnership for cooperation. Its main objective is the development of a framework for international cooperation at the educational level that increases the quality of teaching and focuses the subjects included in it on the needs of the market. This paper describes the main lines of action ofthe project focusing on a co-teaching activity carried out in an automation course.
