Abstract

The work environment has a great influence on physical and mental health and the well-being of workers. Thus, this thesis aims to test and clarify the processes and variables that are involved in personal results related to the well-being and health of workers. Specifically, following the job demands- resources theory, this research focuses on testing antecedents, such as positive personal and work resources (i.e. leadership, vigor at work and physical activity), and motivational variables (i.e. engagement) which can produce favorable outcomes on workers¿ well-being and health, as well as variables that can affect health, such as stress.
