A Systematic Review of Serious Games for Children’s Reading Skills’ development

Resumen

Este artículo proporciona una revisión sobre la eficacia del uso de juegos serios para enseñar a leer a lo largo de los últimos quince años. Utilizando los criterios de búsqueda pertinentes, la revisión buscó investigaciones publicadas entre 2007 y 2022. ERIC, ProQuest, Scopus, Springer y Web of Science fueron las bases de datos consultadas. Tanto las técnicas de enseñanza convencionales como los videojuegos han demostrado ser útiles según los pocos estudios realizados sobre el tema; ninguno de los dos enfoques es presumiblemente más beneficioso para los alumnos. Sin embargo, los estudiantes se divierten y retienen más material a largo plazo cuando se incluyen juegos. Aunque el empleo de juegos como método de instrucción puede considerarse una opción válida, se debe proceder con cautela al utilizar ciertos juegos que no han sido sometidos a una evaluación objetiva.
