Resum
The European Union (EU), one of the continent´s greatest achievements, must move towards a genuine federation, and this improvement necessarily involves improving and clarifying trade with the rest of the world. Each State or any other form of the grouping of states has a set of tools to establish its trade policy with third countries and territories, which is a basic pillar of their economies. It is essential to clarify the functioning of European customs through the study of the different Acts of the European Union that govern it, with the Union Customs Code (UCC) playing an essential role -which brings together the bases of a series of the most relevant thematic blocks of the EU Customs Law, such as general provisions, customs duties, customs procedures, and customs management- as well as a set of international agreements and treaties on customs cooperation.
