Abstract

Among the objectives set out in this doctoral dissertation it is worth highlighting, first of all, analysing the relationship between having bike at home, type of bike and frequency of use, with different sociodemographic variables (sex, school and religion), psychological (self-concept, emotional intelligence and motivational climate), as well as the practice of physical activity; secondly, it is intended to build a theoretical model from the analysis of structural equations that allows to demonstrate the association between selfconcept, emotional intelligence and motivational climate in primary school students; thirdly, it is about analysing the existing association between motor coordination, motivation towards Physical Education and attitude towards road regulations based on sociodemographic variables (sex, maturational development and school); and lastly, it seeks to know the effects produced by the application of a program based on the teaching of cycling, within the Physical Education sessions on motor coordination, motivation towards Physical Education and attitudes towards road regulations, in primary school students.
