Zusammenfassung

Tutoring has become a rising value in universities in recent years. In Europe it is promoted by the European Space of Higher Education and in Latin America by the implementation of policies that promote a more personal relationship between teachers and students. This research aims to analyze the implementation of tutoring services in both continents from university students’ point of view. For that purpose we have developed and validated a rating scale that we applied to a total sample of 866 students. The results show Argentina is the country that achieves better ratings of tutoring in all fields. This leads us to conclude that one of the key elements in the implementation of the tutoring services is the degree of involvement of the institution in this kind of programs.
