Abstract
Andalusia, peripheral region of the south of Europe, is characterized by an outstanding specialization in the production of virgin olive oil. This work analyses the exporting dynamics leaded by Andalusia olive oil companies during the last decade, described by means of economic and institutional conditions and particularly, the sectorial ones, which are particular of the field we are working in, that determine a poor progress of the opportunities that global market offers, and in which the demand of virgin olive oil is increasing. This situation urges to be solved.
