Abstract
The research proposal presented in this Thesis is framed within a broad educational plan for the teaching of SFL mediated by the works of literature as a didactic tool. The central hypothesis underlying the empirical study is that the use of the literary text as a didactic resource with a communicative and integrative orientation -in the sense of attending to the different competences, knowledge and skills that make up the mastery of the language- positively favors the apprentices’ global learning of the latter. The origin of this proposal is found in the deficient use of this valuable language corpus in the Spanish teaching classrooms and the need to achieve the full inclusion of literary texts in manuals, programs and class plans of Spanish FL, as well as their didactization for the language classroom.
