Résumé

Situations of inequality are characterized by different forms of expression, which are manifested in a special way through discrimination and violation of the rights of certain groups of people. In the workplace, these discriminations are especially evident, with discrimination based on disability in general, and certain types of disabilities in particular, being one of the most common. In this regard, people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) are one of the groups with the most difficulties in social participation and employment. This article analyses the situation of people with autism spectrum disorder from the perspective of their insertion into the labour market, and their recent inclusion as one of the groups of priority attention for employment policy in Act No. 3/2023, of 28 February, on Employment.
