Abstract
Study Addressing the unique challenges and needs of students with special needs in the Arab sector of Israel is critical for developing inclusive educational policies and practices. This research aims to highlight these issues, propose evidence-based recommendations, and promote a culture of acceptance and solidarity within society. The goal is to understand the dynamics and challenges associated with providing optimal education for children with special needs in special education schools in the Arab community in Israel. This qualitative study employs in-depth interviews with 20 school principals, 20 multidisciplinary staff members, and 20 parents of students with special needs. Additionally, content analysis of local newspapers in Hebrew and Arabic was conducted. This methodology was chosen to capture subjective experiences, beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors within their natural environments, acknowledging the unique perspectives, cultural backgrounds, and social contexts of the participants.
