Zusammenfassung

The following research takes place within a Historiography framework and therein raises a study about the sources used in the elaboration of the editions of the academic dictionary published at the late of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Concretely, two works of Ricardo Monner Sans are analysed: Con motivo del verbo desvestirse (pasatiempo lexicográfico) (1894) and Minucias lexicográficas (1896), for the aim of stablished in which grade the suggested improvements raises therein were taken into account and incorporated in the editions of DRAE published from 1899.
