Resumen
Coming from a humble family of noblemen, Francisco de los Cobos would develop an important political career throughout his life. At the same time, it would invest large economic resources to project its image through the art, in order to reinforce its social status compared to other more prominent noble houses. In this text we will study the residences and private properties of Cobos in Jaén, among which are the extension of the family house in Úbeda, as well as the remodeling of the castles of Sabiote and Canena (acquired in those years along with other strongholds of the kingdom).
