Resumen

In this Doctoral Thesis, the main objective proposed is the optimization, simplification, and application of new rapid, economical, and eco-friendly methodologies using minimal volumes of solvents and samples, complying with the principles of Green Chemistry for the simultaneous determination of pharmacologically active substances, phenolic contaminants, and hormones at trace levels in different types of water samples (mineral, wastewater, groundwater, surface, or drinking water) and animal-origin food samples (meat and fish). Sample preparation steps have been presented through the use of appropriate solvents and centrifugation, followed by solid-phase extraction to eliminate interferences and pre-concentrate the analytes. The quantification is carried out using gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry with satisfactory sensitivity, selectivity, accuracy, and precision.
