Resumen

This PhD thesis focuses on the problem of soiling in photovoltaic systems. Soiling is the accumulation of dirt on solar panels, which reduces PV power generation and represents a challenge in renewable asset management. The phenomenon varies by region and system configuration, and can cause significant losses in performance and economic costs. The thesis addresses solutions for monitoring and mitigating soiling, including the construction of laboratories for its analysis. Different monitoring methods are compared and possible improvements are identified, considering environmental and seasonal factors that can affect soiling. Furthermore, the practical application of these methods is sought through knowledge transfer.
