Resumen

The Tutorial Action Plan (PAT) of the Higher Polytechnical School of Jaen (EPSJ) is a tool that is offered by the center to the new students in its undergraduate degrees in Engineering (Computer, Geomatics and Surveying, Mechanical, Electrical , Industrial Electronics and Industrial Organization) to facilitate their integration into the university and the degree, support the achievement of adequate academic performance and advise on various aspects related to their studies and their future careers. All this is done through a personal and close relationship with his/her assigned tutor who may hold personal interviews during the academic course. In addition, a series of group activities that will take place throughout the course (lectures, workshops, meetings) are offered which will allow students to learn the tools to successfully complete their university days. Monitoring the implementation of PAT of EPSJ has the aim to analyze the possible influence among different variables related to first-year students and tutors: academic success, abandonment, involvement and level of satisfaction of the plan.
