Resumen

Intangible cultural heritage is linked to the people who practice and transmit it, which means that in the current scenario of depopulation and population ageing, its viability is threatened. In this context, the approval of the European funds and their channeling through the recovery plans offered the possibility of its cnhancement. The purpose of this communication is to examine the treatment given to intangible heritage, firstly, inthe EU Recovery Plan [in Spain] within the framework ofinvestments for tourism and the cultural industry, which reveals its limited treatment. And secondly, in the [Spanish] Government'sPlan of Measures to Meet the Demographic Challenge», which does pay greater attention to intangible heritage.
