Abstract

There is justified social concern about the levels of physical activity among young people. These levels are far from those recommended by prestigious international institutions. Proposals should be designed to promote physical activity, not only to increase these levels in the present, but also to consolidate them as habits and maintain them in the future. Educational centers are ideal scenarios for carrying out these promotion proposals, and the area of Physical Education plays an essential role. Despite the above, some studies show that Physical Education teachers do not have the necessary training to motivate their students. This paper details a practical proposal with the following objective: to design a didactic proposal of an educational escape room to improve the cooperation and motivation of students in the area of Physical Education. Although the proposal includes a very specific design, it is characterized by being flexible and can be adapted to any student body. Although no scientific research has been carried out to identify the benefits of the didactic proposal designed, the young people who have played it emphasize that it is characterized by: the need to cooperate and motivation.
