Resumen

An experience of educational innovation contextualized in a garden (orchard) is presented as aresource to educate in health and sustainability. The main objective is to know and promote the use of thegarden as a learning context and to evaluate the knowledge of the teachers in training about sustainability andthe Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The didactic sequence is divided into several sessions and is partof the subject of Education for Health: didactic and psychological aspects (Degree in Early Childhood Education). The didactic proposals reflect a clear curricular connection with health education and the SDGs, andinclude a sequence of activities well adapted to the Early Childhood Education stage, promoting aspects ofhealthy eating, respect for the environment and responsible consumption. At the end of the didactic sequence,89% of the students recognized the UN as a promoter of the SDGs. 69% of the students know that there are 17SDGs, which goes to 100% at the end of the sessions. 95% perceive their improvement in the ability to developeducational initiatives that promote health and sustainability. This experience has increased the knowledge ofteachers in training about sustainability and the SDGs related to health and has made it possible to publicizeand value the potential of using the garden as a teaching resource to develop skills in sustainability
