Abstract

This essay analyses the factors that determine the aesthetic experience in ourtime to discover the reasons why a large part of contemporary art continuesto be an unassimilated experience even today. The proposal of the text issimple and forceful: art, its  nal product perhaps, not its process, has to dowith the identity of the sensible and not with reason, but contemporary artsustains its worth, in the great majority of cases, only in the aestheticdiscourse, in reason. However, the text does not argue that art should beconsumable and intuitive, it does not fall into a hedonistic and simplistic idea,as knowledge is, without a doubt, the great way to enjoy art in a profoundway.
