Abstract

A morphological anomaly is shown in a specimen from an ornamental population of the province of Jaén of Agave americana var. americana with high reproductive synchrony. The anomaly consists of a double floral scape that could be attributed to an autosomal mutation or to apical damage generated by entomological or phytopathogenic agents.
