Zusammenfassung

Objective: With this work we intend that nurses in the discipline of preventive medicine-public health have a reference from which to be able to get involved in management by competencies, participatory management by objectives and care management typical of the predominant model of clinical management in the Andalusian Public Health System. Methods: Review of legislation, institutional documents and bibliography. Analysis of strengths/ weaknesses/ opportunities/ threats (SWOT) of application internally to the unit and externally directed towards the care units. Results: preventive medicine nurses can become a benchmark in Evidence-Based Nursing (EBE), prevention of nosocomial infection, cleaning-disinfection-sterilization and handling of any invasive device. Conclusions: their contribution as reference nurses can contribute to care based on the best available evidences, safe and quality based for all the care units in their environment.
