Abstract

Introduction: Anxiety disorders are a current problem that has been gaining more relevance in recent times after the pandemic situation experienced, causing a notorious increase in the incidence of mental illness, with young people being the most affected group. Aim: Therefore, the objective of this research is to analyze the benefits of the practice of physical activity in a group of young adults suffering from anxiety disorders. Methods: A scientific search was conducted in Web Of Science (WOS), covering research published in the last five years (2018-2022). A study population of 67 articles was set, of which 22 of them were selected for the basis of the study. Results & discussion: The main results show that an optimal adaptation of physical activity decreases the levels and symptomatology of anxiety disorders. Conclusions: It was confirmed that people suffering from mental disorders are prone to less physical practice, resulting in delayed recovery.
