Abstract

Physics is not the most popular course for students. In fact, students use to think thatphysics theories are complex, arid and they have not many applications. On the otherhand, in the framework of the European Higher Education Area the new Spanishuniversities degrees permits the use of new didactics tools as seminars, projectsdesigned by students and given by them as lectures, scientific and technical debates,etc. We think that the literature of science fiction may have suggestive applications inthis framework and, specially, a sub-genre of science fiction commonly known ashard science fiction. This work carries out a revision of the possibilities of this subgenre. Also, it shows the most remarkable features of a new science fiction book,written for one of the authors of this work, which is being edited by the University ofJaén (Spain) and it will be published in the course of the next months
