Resumen

The present study has the objective of comparing the methodologies established in various educational centers, as well as the perspective of teachers and families of children, who are enrolled in these, on aspects of the learning process. Both fathers and mothers, as teachers, are two essential parts in the development of the child, and although both are proposed to maximize the capabilities of them, the way may be different. In the present study, the sample of 31 teachers is taken (61.3% in public, 22.6% alternative methodologies and 6.5% concerted) and 51 parents (stages of Early Childhood and Primary Education), to know their perspectives on aspects of the learning process of children in school. Through a mixed methodology (quantitative and qualitative), topics of current debate in the educational scenario have been studied, such as the opinion regarding homework, or the importance of enhancing social skills, and curricular competences, among others. Approaches and distances between teachers and families are observed, in aspects such as the methodology taught in the classroom, among others. In summary, the relevance of approaching the school and the families is discussed, in order to reconcile both positions.
