Abstract

The process of technological transformation, essential for the advancement and development of societies, has a strong social impact, including affecting basic social rights of citizens. The concept of "industry 5.0" is committed to a humanizing and environmentally sustainable vision of these transformation processes, which places people at the center of them. It's necessary to overcome the values of efficiency and productivity as the only objectives of technological innovation, and reconcile them with social and environmental welfare. Social protection systems cannot remain oblivious to this reality, and the public autorities must articulate measures thatprovide adequate responses to the global social risks we are currently facing. And among those risks, the future sustainability of pension systems stands out. One objective, which must be approached from a comprehensive perspective and the reforms carried out to achieve it, together with its purely economic-financial approach, also integrate a digital, environmental and social justice dimension.
