In this work, nematodes of the order Rhabditida associated to coastal dunes in the south and east of the Iberian Peninsula have been studied. A total of 6988 specimens have been obtainedin 42 coastal dunes, belonging to 72 species, 37 genera and 18 families of the order Rhabditida. After stuying the species found, eight new cites have been obtained for the Iberian Peninsula, and taxonomic and phylogenetic relationships existing between some genera and species have been reveals. Regarding to nematofauna from the dunes examined, the results show the rhabditid nematodes as the most abundant and most diverse group, being the family Cephalobidae the predominant group of them. Also, the bacteriophage nematodes have been the most frequent group in these dunes. Finally, Almeria coast have been the are with highest diversity of species of the order Rhabditida, decreasing to the north of the peninsula.
