Abstract

The question that gave rise to this research is: what is the relationship between executive management towards the teaching staff and didactic performance at the Universidad Nacional de Chimborazo in implementing the Quality Management System? In this sense, this investigation aimed to determine the relationship between the executive management oriented to the professorship and the didactic performance. The employed methodology was quantitative with non-experimental design, transverse temporality, and correlational level. The population consisted of 723 teachers and 9,535 students; subsequently, a sample was randomly calculated. The results indicate that work-life quality factors and training management factors are positively correlated; it means that the factors coming from dispositional and contextual variables have a significant correlation with the training management factors. In conclusion, in each component where managers are evaluated and in the evaluations employed by apprentices to appraise educationalists, there is a need for improvement and should be part of the executive management.
