La ciencia política española a través de sus tesis doctorales. Evolución y perspectivas de futuro

Resumen

El objetivo de este artículo es conocer el estado de la ciencia política española, para lo cual se ha llevado a cabo un estudio descriptivo longitudinal de las tesis presentadas en las Universidades públicas españolas durante las últimas tres décadas. Se ha elaborado una base de datos de 1275 tesis, a partir de TESEO y Dialnet, analizando tres indicadores de producción científica: la evolución temporal, la Universidad de lectura y la dirección. Estos indicadores se han relacionado con la temática investigada y con el género de los/as doctorandos/as y de sus directoras/es. Los resultados muestran un crecimiento irregular en el número de tesis leídas durante este periodo; un número mayor de hombres que alcanzan el grado de doctor; una posición de superioridad de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid; un grupo reducido de doctores que han dirigido más de diez tesis en el periodo analizado; y dos temáticas predominantes: actores y comportamiento político, y políticas públicas y administración pública.
