Resum
The use of a certain dress or the adoption of a physical appearance for reasons of faith constitutes a manifestation of religious freedom. In Islam, this practice is noted above all in women, but also Muslim men often dress according to their beliefs, which can give rise to legal conflicts that have sometimes been resolved by the courts. What is peculiar about the outward appearance of the Muslim man is that it is often linked with a tendency to radicalization or affiliation with extremist groups. The measures that are adopted as a consequence do not always respond to a serious consideration of the data that support radicalization, nor do they weigh the right to religious freedom that is at stake, and that can only be limited in its manifestations by respect for public order.
