Zusammenfassung
The present study was based on analyzing the relationship selfconcept in the academic, family, social, physical, and emotional spheres of students who practice physical-sporting activity outside and within the ordinary educational center. Counting on a total of 80 schoolchildren with 9 years who will participate for the observation of the variables. To carry out the research, the Self-concept questionnaire form 5 (AF-5) was used. The statistical tests were ANOVA and descriptive statistics where the mean, standard deviation, skewness and kurtosis were measured. The results show a good level of self-concept in all the factors analyzed, especially high in the social dimension. The influence that the level of physical activity practice exerts on the academic component is noteworthy, with the schoolchildren who dedicate more time to physical-sporting practice a lower academic self-concept than their peers who only do physical education in the school context. Based on these results, it seems necessary to implement well-designed controlled physical activity practice strategies, from the point of view of objectives, type of exercises, directed by professionals trained in the field of sports sciences, that manage to involve the family, educational community and social agents, for the promotion of a practice of healthy and beneficial physical activity for the person in all dimensions.
