Resumen
This article describes the case of a pregnant woman in her second term, which goes to the ER with labor contractions and is entered in the active phase of labor develops. A care plan describes the actions taken in the newborn in the first few minutes of life and in the immediate later postpartum. The care plan begins with assessment and data search following Virginia Henderson ́s model, identifying the following nursing diagnoses: "Ineffective airway", "Risk of imbalance in body temperature","Risk of injury "and" ineffective breastfeeding”. The most appropriate interventions are planned for each diagnose, using NANDA(1), NOC(2) and NIC(3) taxonomy. The use of nursing diagnoses (NANDA), outcomes (NOC) and interventions (NIC), enables the use of a common language and methodology to provide a comprehensive care, allowing nurses to evaluate the results of care provided.
