Resum

New records for the agave weevil (Scyphophorus acupunctatus Gyllenhal, 1838) in Spain are presented, confirming its presence for the first time in the provinces of the inner peninsula (Jaén and Albacete), as well as the increase by coastal provinces (Almería and Granada) and also the presence in other coastal provinces (Cádiz and Gerona). Among the hosts, the agave weevil has been found in the typical species Agave americana var. americana L. In the same way, it has also been found in the following taxa: Agave americana var. marginata, Agave ingens, Agave ingens var. picta, Agave attenuata, Agave salmiana var. ferox, Agave franzosini, Agave fourcroydes, Furcraea selloa, Furcraea sp., Yucca elephantipes, Yucca gloriosa and Dracaena draco, which is, according to our knowledge, the first infestation citation for these taxa in Spain
