Abstract

How to motivate engineering students in order to guarantee a meaningful learning is a challenge issue. The development of lectures focused on the use of Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) software, the use of topics of interest for students and the stimulation of their creativity, are key aspects for the success of the lab activities. In this sense, the learning of the fundamental concepts of sheet metal forming is proposed through a CAD program aimed at manufacturing for the design of a car body.
