Abstract

The experiences of a professional nurse are presented in their traveled through the time: their motivations, fortresses and weaknesses. He is Francisco Javier Arboledas, medical asistant retired in Sabiote, a village of the province of Jaén. The informant belongs to a generation of professionals of nursing of the rural environment (medical assistant of Home Public Care) who have had the opportunity to live a moment of intense change in the health system when already approached the hour of his retirement. The story helps to understand the contradictions of who confronted a process of reconversion of the many that the spanish nursing experienced in the second half of century
