Zusammenfassung

We analyse in our paper the contracts subscribed to Andrés Vandelvira in 1553 and Alonso Barba in 1576 to be in charge of the Cathedral of Jaén’s mastery by which both stonemasons controlled its building process during most of the 16th century. We provide new documentation and penetrate in their professional as well as their personal relationships
