Abstract

The corporative social responsibility is present in the voluntary actions of the companies to the benefit of the society, that is to say, beyond the obligations that the legislation imposes to them. This article compiles some of the main definitions of �social responsibility� and it talks about different models of public intervention in the implantation of the social responsibility in the company management. Also it orients about the management of that responsibility and it informs about the social responsibility benefits for the companies. In addition, the article indicates the methodology and the results of the developed experiences analysis, about the management of the social responsibility of several excellent hotel chains in the Spanish tourist sector, and the obtained conclusions.The corporative social responsibility is present in the voluntary actions of the companies to the benefit of the society, that is to say, beyond the obligations that the legislation imposes to them.
