Abstract

Seasonal nitrate contents in the aquifer of Campo de Dalías have been studied during the period of 1988 to 1990. In this area, agricultural activities cover more than 20.000 ha. We have considered two aquifer systems, 51 and 52, in which we have calculated sorne exploratory statistics and maps of spacetime evolution in each of them. The deepest system 51 is not very polluted, but there is a general rising trend evidenced clearly in 1990. In system 52 appears a trend to reduce concentrations through time. Pollution is mainly in relation to the use of fertilizers.
