Abstract

Hello, Stranger: una investigación artística (trans)narrativa is a process of artistic creation where I have developed a procedure of (self) investigation and (self) narrative in relation to the construction of the body and identity based on previous artistic experiences with a character of gender and identity that is the way to determine a new definition of the concept "trans". The body acts as a nucleus and research tool, being the fundamental protagonist of all the artistic research processes that take place throughout this work. Its structure is purely artistic, in which the creation process itself is part and result of research, thus generating a structural hybridization based on connections fostered during the creative process itself. It is organized into two fundamental blocks in which the researcher's gaze and his self-narrative intervenes as a turning point when executing the works but always connecting with all the previous parts, since they are links in the same chain. This research work is a personal journey through the body and identity construction that aims to deconstruct masks to build their own bodies by taking transsexual experiences and artistic references as a preamble to their own action and research.
