Abstract

The planning and design of tasks is a key issue that every teacher must take into account in order to guarantee a meaningful teaching and learning process. The knowledge of the errors and difficulties about a mathematical object facilitates this labor for teachers, whose analysis will contribute to making teaching proposals improving this process. The present work shows a teaching proposals focused on solving errors and difficulties related to confidence intervals (CI) made by pre-university and university students, through ICTs and graphical representations. We think this way of approaching the subject allows better understanding concerning confidence intervals purpose.
