Resumen

El presente artículo pretende demostrar la relación existente entre arquitectura y epigrafía en contextos funerarios como elementos de propaganda de las élites provinciales egipcias. Para ello, se centrará en el caso de los títulos de segundo rango en la necrópolis de Qubbet el-Hawa (Elefantina) durante el Reino Antiguo y el Primer Período Intermedio, destacando el valor simbólico de ésta y la capacidad de las élites elefantinas para desarrollar valores diferentes a los de la corte faraónica, resaltando el carácter fronterizo de la región, pero teniendo también presente la autoridad real como elemento legitimador.
