Resumen

The transversal nature of the communicative competence makes it aspect to work with high school students, especially with those who show interest in starting teaching studies. Due to the strong social influence impregnated in the teaching profession, the need arises to know the level of competence of these students. For this purpose, a descriptive and transversal study was designed, in which a Likert scale was elaborated, with five response options. The results found show that the students show difficulties in oral communication in the sociolinguistic dimension, they consider that they have a good knowledge of the morphosyntactic and pragmatic areas.
