Resumen

This article is the first of the two that we have developed to deepen the study of the development of physical activity and its relationship with education in classical Greece, influencing aspects disciplinary in collecting the sport as an educational element of the first order. The approach relies on historical research and consists of a broad literature review of doctoral theses, research previous, magazines and specific manuals and its corresponding analysis, as well as oral contributions of teachers in physical education and various Andalusian universities teaching students.
