Abstract (How to learn (and teach) to perform searches in CINAHL and PubMed) In the information society, searching and selecting valid, accurate and relevant information acquires status of indispensable professional competence. Generally in health sciences and particularly in nursing, it is increasingly important to consult international databases, due to the large amount of valid and relevant information they contain. Among these databases, CINAHL and PubMed stand out. Searching these databases requires a strategy that allows balancing the sensitivity and specificity of the search, which requires the use of various tools that can make the search process complicated.
