Abstract

The article try to study, through Sociology, sorne medieval features having still the culture and the society of Jaén. The comparative view, between two periods: Middle Ages and present time. ll'.s interesting lo know the evolution of the Social History of Andalucía. We analyse sorne aspects that are maintained until nowadays to see the social changes in customs, traditions, institutions and life styles that make up part of giennense identity We don't want to assess if is positive or negative conserve the medieval cultural elements, or if they must teach o not the way to the future. This research, only, expects to indicate the origin and the actuality of these medieval elements.
