Abstract
The present work seeks to highlight the life and works of two illustrious Giennenses. On one side is D. Francisco Javier Jiménez y Pérez de Vargas, VII Marquis de La Merced andanother D. Antonio Flores de Lemus. Both were professors of economics, two of the twelve professors explaining economics in the Spanish University of early twentieth century The test consists of two parts. The first, currículum studies that determined the teaching of these professors, who were their contemporaries and relations existing between them. The second analyzes the life and works of these characters through biographical notes on them.
