Abstract

In the following pages we will highlight the importance of interdisciplinary approaches and the role that music and art should hold in the educational system. Starting from the place that the arts have had within education since Antiquity, we will mention some of the programs and the experiences that have been developed around so-called "integral education" in recent years. We will also emphasize the main benefits that can be obtained through the application of arts not only in education but also in a person's development.
