Abstract

The following study aims to outline the reception of Homer during Humanism and the Renaissance from Francesco Petrarca to Gonzalo Pérez in order to place the Castilian version of the Odyseey by the secretary of Felipe II and father of Antonio Pérez within the European context of the editions and translations of the Homeric poems.
