Resum
The end of Finish old custom of burial in churches has been a long and difficult process. In Granada it was delayed until the middle of 19th century because the opposition of the worshippers and the Church officials. However, in interest of public health, aesthetics and the respect for sacred spaces, change has been progressive and therefore the construction of out of town cemeteries began.
