Abstract

This paper is based on the effects of the development of a border territory played by the Kingdom of Jaén during the fifteenth century and how the everyday life and the town planning were driven by Miguel Lucas de Iranzo, Constable of Castile. This fact can be corroborated analyzing his chronicle, which information, checked with other documents, show the image of a character that, in his eagerness of looking the nobility that he did not have, simulated a way of life learnt during his stay on Enrique's IVth court of Castile.
